    Pros +

    • I’ve stayed in several hotels across Japan, but Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Nagomi was hands-down the best experience of my entire trip. Everything about this place felt intentional, warm, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I arrived, the staff set the tone. They weren’t just polite in the typical “Japanese hospitality” way, they were truly kind, patient, and thoughtful, in a way that felt personal. Every interaction I had with them made me feel cared for, not just checked in. I honestly think this was the best staff I encountered anywhere in Japan. The hotel itself feels peaceful and beautifully designed. The lobby has this calm, modern-traditional vibe, and the attention to detail in the rooms blew me away. My room was spotless, perfectly laid out, and incredibly comfortable. The lighting, the way the bathroom was designed it all added up to a space that felt much more special than the price would suggest.Location-wise, it’s unbeatable. You can walk to Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, Pontocho, Gion. Somehow it manages to be close to everything while still feeling quiet and tucked away. But what really makes this hotel incredible is the feeling it gives you. After long days of sightseeing, it felt like coming home. I genuinely looked forward to returning every evening and that’s not something I say often about hotels.I’ve already decided that whenever I come back to Kyoto, this is the only place I’ll stay. I’ll plan my whole Kyoto trip around staying here. It’s that good.To the entire staff: thank you for making this the most memorable and enjoyable stay I’ve had in Japan. You made a huge impression on me, and I’m grateful.
    • The stay was amazing, friendly and helpful stuff, very clean and good location. I highly recommend and would book again
    • Extremely beautiful hotel with quite friendly staff. Quiet and the location was simply incredible

    Cons -

    • The only issue I can think of is that the bed was a little hard, however I'm someone who enjoys softs beds. Its still the best hotel I ever stayed at. Outside of that it was perfect!
    • The twin room was extremely tight and there was nowhere to leave a large suitcase.
    • The hotel is located in a quiet and lovely neighborhood. However, it's a bit farther from the station than we had hoped. It's quite challenging if you're traveling with heavy luggage.

Hotel is very nice and clean. It is near Kyoto market and easily accessible by metro. Breakfast has Japanese and western options. Room are biggest of all we've been in Japan (so standard European size let's say). Hotel provides you with recommendations for restaurants nearby.Rooms are nonsmoking, but there is a nice smoking area on the ground floor of the hotel.

The room is bigger than the one we had in Tokyo, and surprisingly the price was reasonable during our stay. There's also a highly rated coffee shop and bakery near the hotel. We'd also love to highlight the exceptional service of their staff. We forgot some items in our room, and the staff were very responsive even after we checked out. Thank you very much, Ai and Yuuka!!

Great service, very nice bathroom, comportable bed with two pillows to choose.

    nothing to say

We stayed at this hotel twice during our trip to Japan and everything was perfect. The room was very clean and quiet, with daily water bottles provided, which we really appreciated. A special mention goes to the excellent shampoo and conditioner. The staff were consistently helpful and kind.

    8HowardPosted on: 9-17-2025

    Value, friendly/helpful staff, breakfast

Room was too small to handle even our small amount of luggage. We wished there were more drawers, shelves and/ or hooks

    9SvetlanaPosted on: 9-2-2025

Good location, very clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Very good value for money. Everything is walking distance or connected well (you can go everywhere by buses or metro). A lot of nice restaurants in the area.

No cleaning of the rooms everyday.

    10brookenooPosted on: 8-13-2025

I loved the size of the room and the location of the hotel. It was easy to get to the station with around a 10-minute walk and lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The only issue I had was with the laundry. The machines were pretty small, and I think washing my clothes in the machine had discolored some of my clothing. Other than that, my stay was perfect!

    7MargotPosted on: 8-8-2025

The traditional Japanese vibes and quiet location!

It was a nice location overall but 25 min walks from the station and 40 min walk from main attractions were a bit hard to do in the boiling summer.

    10JudithPosted on: 7-14-2025

We enjoyed our stay! Location was great. a little walk to station but not too far. A short walk to the market, that was great! Our room was very clean. We appreciated that there was laundry available and we could track its time on the tv!

Fantastic location, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, room was very clean, spacious and looked amazing. Stayed here last year and it’s remained just as great

Laundry room would benefit greatly from a capacity upgrade and new dryers

    10GabrielaPosted on: 6-21-2025

A lot of restaurants around the area, staff was friendly, rooms were very nice, in general the place was great.

They let you know that they only change towels and empty the trash, they don't change the bedding or clean the room, but they also didn't take the dirty mugs for 5 days haha. Anyway, that is just a tiny complain

Beautiful hotel, great rooms with plenty of space and location is within walking distance of everything you need such as good restaurants, bars and attractions. The bed and bathroom were bigger than expected. The bed was very comfortable

The hotel room is a bit small but, all facilities, toiletries and location is good. Love their bathtub. Very clean. My baby enjoys the most in this hotel.

    Small room and small bed.

    10Prasad_njPosted on: 5-27-2025

The hotel is located in the city where you can have access to every place easily. The staff was amazing. You can have free coffee also. The bathroom was more spacious.you can enjoy everything in Kyoto.

    9annegianellaPosted on: 5-19-2025

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Being so close to the train station made getting to and from the hotel easy, and lugging our luggage was never a hassle. The room itself was surprisingly spacious compared to most hotels in Japan, which was a nice change. Another big plus was the hotel’s proximity to a variety of great places to eat. It really made our stay more enjoyable and convenient.

The only downside was that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, we couldn’t think of anything else we didn’t like about the hotel.

    10SonyaPosted on: 5-16-2025

It’s new, it’s fresh, it’s welcoming with a daily breakfast hot meal plus a buffet. The room are bigger for Japan and it was lovely! The staff was so helpful.

    Actually we really liked it!
